In this place I little by little find myself at home I felt the great spirit of appreciation. I am amazed at how people here--my friends at Church never forget to appreciate. I find myself not knowing how to respond to so much appreciation for even the little things I do. But I realized that the little things we do for others may be very little for us but maybe SOMETHING SPECIAL for them.
In the past almost 3 months that I am here in Oswego, New York looking for a regular job for an experience and while waiting for responses I try to fill in my schedule with stuff to do. So, whenever someone asks me to do something for them I'd gladly do it because I want to fill in my time and make sure I accomplish something. Even just playing with the kids, preparing food, or decorating Christmas trees I did it. I never would have thought I would be much appreciated.
Every little thing that we do may mean very special for others. LEND A HAND. As I am looking for my purpose as an employee I find my purpose as a Friend that can lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Maybe you think like me being useless because you are jobless but have you ever thought that these freedom from job gives you opportunity to bless others by being there to help them?
LITTLE SOMETHINGS ARE SPECIAL TO SOMEBODY WHO NEEDS A HAND.
